'Fairchild Personal Plane Division of Fairchild Engine and Airplane

Post by Frank »

'Folks,

I am wading through the swamp of beaurocracy over here in UK and as part of that I am trying to ascertain the date in 1951 when 'Fairchild Personal planes "officially" went out of business.
Is there a government department/website that you know of which would be able to provide a written statement or a copy of any papers that were filed at the time?

Also - would you guys consider that the FAA 'SUPPORT' the F24 by providing 'Continued Operational Safety' activities and in that context Ground the fleet if there is an airworthiness issue; only permitting operations to continue after they have approved, but not provided, 'a fix'? I have a problem with the definition of 'support' in this context. Perhaps there is an FAA definition of 'support' somewhere.

Many thanks

'Ah, isn't a strong, caring, controlling, stiflling government wonderful? Eventually most everything we want to do will be just too much trouble.
