Fairchild 24 Formers

Post by Brett »

'Dose anyone have full size temples (cardboard?) of all the formers for the 24 that you could sent to me, any help would be greatly appreciated.

My formers are not in the best of shape and don't look to be factory, they are not matching by any stretch

Thanks Brett

'I wish I could help.  The formers that I had when I took the airplane apart were the greatest, but they looked pretty good.  They, like yours, weren't factory original.  As you saw from the photo that I last sent, I am glad to say that I am getting far enough down the road to start thinking about flying the old girl once again.  I was at the same place that you are in 1973.  I have replace all but 3 pieces of wood.
I am sending you a set of 25 photos that I took prior to covering the fuselage.  They may be of help down the road.

'Hello Brett
I'm at that stage in the restoration of my 1946 F24, here in Southern California. I am using a set of templates for the upper fuselage formers and would like to talk with you about the process. Give me a call anytime 909-790-1320.
Thanks
