'I have just recently bought a Fairchild 24W and need to get in back home and need to know how big of a trailer I need to go get it.

So if you guys could help me out on some odd dimensions that would be great.

From the firewall to the tail post
From the out rigger to the tail post
From the out rigger to the firewall
The out rigger to the out rigger (the part that is fixed to the fuselage)
The height and width of the fuselage
The length of the wing from the wing root to the tip

I don't have the measurements you wanted but I got my F-24 project on a 16" flatbed trailer. I put the tail wheel forward on a 2x12 bolted to the tongue. Then I pulled the landing gear together with a come-along so it would make the 8' wide load limit. Because the deck of the trailer I had was about 7' wide I bolted an 8'-6" 2 x 12 across the back of the trailer. I then took a ½" piece of plywood and screwed it to the 2 x 12 for stiffing. I rolled the fuselage up on the trailer with the wheels centered on the 2 x 12 and blocked the wheels with some 2 x 4's screwed to the 2 x 12. I then built 2 x 4 racks on both sides of the fuselage to hold the wings with the leading edge down. The horizontal and vertical stabilizers fit under the fuselage on the deck. I was over the wide load limit by 6" but I drug it 150 miles up the interstate with no problems.

If you put straps (or rope) around each of the main landing gears and pull them together with a comealong, being carefull to stop when they stop, the total width to the outside of the wheels will be 108"

The tail wheel will be 17.5 feet from the center of the main wheels.

From the firewall to the tail post 18.5ft
From the out rigger to the tail post 17ft
From the out rigger to the firewall 1.5ft
The out rigger to the out rigger (the part that is fixed to the
fuselage)
The height and width of the fuselage
The length of the wing from the wing root to the tip 16.5ft

'Yeah i would use a flat bed if i was only going 150 or so miles but i have to get it almost 600 miles and i would like it to have it be inside.

im trying to get the measurements so i can see if it will fit in a 16ft enclosed with a v nose witch measures about 18 ft from the v nose to the gate.

I have a 1946 F24W and here are the dimensions for the Warner powered F-24 series aircraft.
From the firewall to the tail post equals 18 ft. 5-7/8" in. W/O engine. 19 ft. 8-15/16 in. with Warner
From the out rigger to the tail post equals 202 in. (not a diagonal dimension)
From the out rigger to the firewall equals 22 in. (not a diagonal dimension)
The out rigger to the out rigger (the part that is fixed to the fuselage) equals 90 in.
The height and width of the fuselage is 60.25 In. by 46-1/4 in.
The length of the wing from the wing root to the tip equals 16 ft. 5 in.
