'As my project nears completion, and I have no experience flying it,
I would like to know what you may consider the max crosswind capability of the
F-24 and, what is the max wind speed that the F-24 can safely taxied . It
sometimes gets very windy around here.

'No matter what the book says pilot training and experience is the most important factor.

Re: F-24 Max Cross Wind
'Fairchild 24 is great in crosswinds. The rudder is very effective at slow speeds. It depends on your experience with the airplane and with crosswinds and with the airport. I have landed mine on short grass runway with 30 mph 85 degree crosswind, without breaking a sweat. I wouldn't worry about a 20 mph crosswind on asphalt unless there were turbulence from nearby buildings and trees.
The airplane is great. You are mostly limited by your current proficiency. Taxi on grass is easy, on asphalt may require differential breaking.

Re: F-24 Max Cross Wind
'I don't have that much time in it yet, maybe 50 hours, but I was kind of blind-sided by a situation in the Fall where the destination had unexpected winds, 90 degrees at 25 or so. Windsock straight out. The wide stance really helps, Really large control surfaces, and effective. Just fly the basics, all ok. I wouldn't do much more, but probably not in any other lightplane, either.
