UC 61 A markings

Post by paul pinato »

'Hi

I am looking for the markings on the UC 61A that
served in Europe during WWII

I have the Stars and Bars and the AFTAC insignia.

Need pictures or internet links.

I am especially interested of the text on the LH
side of the nose and on the oil filler door.

Was there more text. I do not know.

My UC 61 A is 43-14840 8th. AFATC

'Paul,
If you haven't been here before, you should check out the San Diego Museum
picture collection. Recently they released hundreds or thousands ( I can't
recall how many) pictures from their collection. I did a quick search for
"Fairchild" and came up with 7 pages of pictures. I didn't look through them
all but there may be some of the UC 61 in there. All you guys should check
this out.

'Hi

Thanks

Amazing site. Never seen such collection.

Recommend this to all of you. Be prepared to sit a
long time in front of the computer as the there is
so much to see.

Found one picture that may help me. Have to
contact the museum and see if they can help me
further.

Is there more sites like this??
