Fuel Valve for F24

Post by dc871f »

To anybody that would know, are there any STC's or mods out there to change the originals valves out?'

'I have to admit that I am unfamiliar with the fuel valve setup here.
However, recently I was able to get approval to use the new AC 23-27 as a
means of approval to use a ball valve for replacement of a main fuel valve
shut off for a Champ. There are some caveats though. You can not modify the
operation linkage or means of installation of the valve. In other words, if
you can do a swap without having to modify anything, you should be able to
get approval. I had my local FSDO give it's blessing. This is the exact
scenario as to why this new AC was created. Ask your local IA or FSDO.
