F-24 Weight and Balance

Post by Norbert McLuckie »

'I have a 1939 F-24 with a Jacobs engine and two 30 gallon tanks.  we are having a discussion about gross weight and useful load.  Does anyone have a similar set-up and have any figures?

'Plan on some lengthy discussions ...  I have information as does George Leighton. We have both recently put our Jake powered F-24s back in the air. Useful load is a problem on paper, and getting the CG right takes some work but you will be amazed at the performance with the Jake. I wouldn't change a thing.
