Fairchild 24R controll question

Post by jwm1801 »

'I was wondering if any of you Fairchild 24 owners could let me know how much control stick travel you have in your aircraft. I am looking for an approximate measurement with the control stick centered to full left and from centered stick to full right?

I have my ailerons rigged properly but seems like I am not getting a lot of stick travel. Any help would be great. Thanks, JON'

'I know that my Fairchild was flying great when I took it apart, and I haven't touched the adjusters for the stick travel. I am getting 12.5" of travel at a point 1/2" down from the top of the chrome, and 25 degrees of travel. I know that my stick isn't symetrical, which is the stops under the front floor boards. Anything that I would have done in the past, wouldn't have changed that. It shows me I have another small task that needs work.

'Bob thanks. Is that 12.5 inches total or from center stick to far left. I am looking for the measurement in one direction from center posititon. Thanks for your help. Jon
