Looking for a PT19 or 26 project.

Re: Looking for a PT19 or 26 project.
'I have a PT-26 project I bought to rebuild for my best friend to fly. We were actually going to not use the canopy and make it like a PT-19 so we would have a pair to fly together. However, he was killed while checking out in a BT-13, so I've lost interest in the restoration.
Everything is off the fuselage which is ready for cleaning , priming/painting etc. the vertical stabilizer is ready. The ailerons & elevators are up through silver. The cover has been removed from the center section for cleaning, inspection & some rebuilding. I have the wood ribs already built for the cs. I was going to do a engine tear-down and see what it needs. Probable needs new rings...at least a top overhaul and a good cleaning & inspection. It came with a electric prop, but I would have gone back to a wood prop. The canopy is apart for cleaning, painting and glass replacement where needed. It has metal flaps and floorboards, but no heater installation. This could be added for cold climes.I am asking $10,000.00 but would allow $1,000.00 for transportation. You probably have a good idea of the size trailer and truck needed for transport. I believe I have most all the logs/paperwork. I wish the situation had been different so my friend and I could
have had "twin" PT's to fly.

There is a person selling some PT parts on Barnstormers currently. He also has one or several PT's that had been converted to dusters by the Weatherly Corporation years ago. I believe these are complete aircraft.
