and about a third of the way down on the right hand side are the logbook files. Click on a name and a pdf file will open.
Please note, with the exception of Pop Furlong, I only have pages concerning the pilots time at Haddenham airfield.
This is the page on the ATA at Haddenham airfield (known as RAF Thame at the time):
My research is ongoing so I will keep your e-mail address on file and let you know if I come across anything.
Hope you like the website,

'G'day Peter
Thankyou for the information, and yes I am passionately interested in any of the doings of Fairchilds in the ATA and the rest of military activity as well. I know that one of the Australian squadrons in the RAF used an Argus I as a hack for instance. I would like to correspond with you by email directly if possible but naturally do not know your address. As Mike does not put email addresses up on the site, would you be able to give me your telephone number and I will call you and get the details, alternatively if you would prefer you could give me a quick call and I will pass you my details. My number is 61 2 9545 1604.(61 the country code and 2 the area code.)
Thanks again

I have a nice wartime colour shot of a US marked UC-61A in which its possible to see that the door handle appears to be plated but is definitely not coloured to match the camo.If you have a look in the 1945-46 Jane's all the Worlds Aircraft there are photos of both a UC-61A and a UC-61K (US marked)and in both photos the door handle can clearly be seen which would not be the case if they were painted to match the door colour. As the RAF aircraft were painted before delivery it seem logical that the factory followed the same principles when painting them as they did with the US marked aircraft.
