'Just got word a bit ago that John Berednt passed away early this morning. I don't have any other information yet but as soon as his wife lets me know, I will pass it along.

'Very sad to hear of John's death.

I had the great pleasure of meeting and talking with him at Oshkosh in 1999.

We talked of PT's and many things. Seem to recall something he said about flying blimps - I wish now I had pursued that.

I also recall his admiration of a Harrier flying backwards!

Great memories of a great guy.
