'John Berendt is still in the hospital. Before he went in, he asked me if my wife and I would think about doing the news letter as it was getting harder for him to get it out on a regular schedule as in the past.

I don't think he figured on being "laid up" like he is. John's wife asked me if I would do the news letter and we are in the process of getting things to me so I can start getting things around. I'm also trying to answer any Fairchild questions that people have been asking of John. His wife has been forwarding them to me.

If you don't get me,leave a message and I will return your call. Ed Wegner,Charlie Bel, and myself helped John start the Fairchild Club maybe back around 1985 or 86 I think. We are still doing a fairchild Forum at Oshkosh. Hopefully on the same day and time as last year. I'm not sure about being in the Type Club building yet. They will have a building for this now instead of the tent. It's where the tent was.

I will keep you informed on our progress.
