Preoiling a Ranger

Post by Charles Mueller »

'My Ranger has sat for many years, so I think it wise to pressurize the system before starting it, or even turning the engine over to time the mags. I have a good electric external pump that will do the job, but where is a good access to the oil distribution gallery to oil the crank and rod and other bearing?
The oil pressure take off port would work, but requires removing the generator since there is a Tee screwed in there - is there another access location?

Any ideas would be appreciated.'
