'I seem to remember someone looking for bearings for the flight controls on a
Fairchild F24G. I lost the post somewhere in my archives. My F24G is a
1937...there might be a difference in the bearings I seek.
I am now needof the 9 bearings for the tail surfaces...elevators,
rudder...and trim tabs. Kaman has not been able to provide these bearings. the
dimensions are:
O.D. .6835
I.D. .250
ODW .255
IDW .500
Does anyone know where I might find bearings such as these?? There are no
numbers on them.
Thanks in advance!! See you at OSH!

'Richard,
I bought new bearings for my 46 F24 from Univar. I haven't
measured them but if you call I'm sure they can give you the dimensions.
They are Schatz bearings-part no. CS3906. If Univar no longer has them
they are located in Poughkeepsie NY.

'Thanks Buell...
I think these bearings are smaller than the CS3906...but Univair is right
here in town so I'll run out there and see what they have. Kaman has been no
help and I haven't found any numbers yet.
