am in Alaska and won't be back in the lower 48 until later this
summer, I have a spare landing gear spring, I don't know where it is
in my messy hangar, I hope you can find another because I hate to
part with my spare, but will to see you fly again.
Second subject, the Alaskian Aviation Heritage museum, has a F24W46
that they want to sell as a project, it also has 2 springs and 2
good gear legs, It might behoove the Fairchild club to buy this in
order to obtain the parts for future use by the members.
It is a project that has good wing spars, 3 Jake engines and the
paper work to do a 337 for engine swaps to the Jake. plus a good
fuselage, and flight controls.
the asking price is $7500.00 I didn't get a contact point but they
have a web page to get their info from.'
