'Has anyone had any luck with finding a source for getting plackards and data plates.I have tried several times to get in touch with Mr Allard by phone and e-mail with no luck

'You might try a trophy type store. I had some made and they were pretty
inexpensive as I recall. They are metal and had a pretty good sticky back that
has stayed in place for over four years.
