Exhaust Stud nuts

Post by Michael Danielle »

'During my last engine removal, I had one of the exhaust stud nuts
seize and strip. These are the deep brass nuts that hold the exhause
flanges on.

Does anyone here know of a source?

Thanks,
Mike in Oregon'

I had to replace mine last time I had the exhaust off. Im pretty
sure these are the same brass 5/16-24 nuts used on small
Continentals (O-200, etc.). I believe the Aircraft Spruce part
number is 22022, $.86 / each.

Dont forget the MS27151-16 PAL stamped locknuts. I found that I had
to thread them on simultaneously with the exhaust nuts or there wasnt
enough clearance to get them on.
