'Yes, it is a common malady.  Check with Mike Kelly or Joe Denest or possibly Steve Dennis, they can give you the details for a fix.  But you may need to check all of your bushings that support the drag link for correct fit  first, then, at the top of the trunnion, check that fitting as well.  Also look at the trunnion collar, the large brass fitting that supports the top of the tail wheel assembly for looseness.  You may need to have some parts machined in order to tighten up things.  Another area to look at is the rudder to tail wheel steering torgue tube.  Its possible that could have either contributed to the problem or has actually been damaged by the violent shaking.  There are instance of breaking the welds in the back end of the fuselage if allowed to go not repaired, not to mention shredding good tail wheels.Hope this helps some.Jim Dagg'
