'Hi all,
Does any one know of a source for 24 and PT tailwheel boots?
Airtex offers boots for C-195, Stearman and Stinson V-77. Are any of
these adaptable?
I have the old one from my 24R46 and probably could have one made
locally, but wanted to check here first.
Mine is old and crusty, so it's hard to tell what material it is made from.
Mine laces up in the back, is that the original
style?
Thanks in advance,
Jim Rice

'Jim,
Your going to have to make one yourself or contract out. The drawing (Dwg
43144) for the boot is on the Fairchild CD. Also the retaining wire drawing
is there.
I use rubberized canvas for my boots. Made a half a dozen a few years ago.
Very easy. Lacing is not on the drawing. Two brass button snaps are used.
You can get them a the local awning shops.

Re: Tailwheel boot
'Jim: I have several NOS boots that are of the canvas type. Never installed.
They were made for installation on the Fairchild. Contact me directly at:
Thekortas@aol.com and we can discuss the details to see if the type I have is
what you are looking for.
