When I started the resturation of my UC61A it had a Scott 3200 installation with leaf springs. It was the uggliest thing in the world. My plane lost it´s original strut when landing on a frozen lake and hit a small ridge.
The installation was made here in Sweden but I do not have a drawing for it.
The installation is twice the weight of the original strut. The spring has to take about 420 pounds at it´s maximum. The steering cables has to be rerouted and the weight is about 40 pounds.
I whould not have this weight so far back.
