'Hello,,,
looking for some prop info for my ranger. I am using it in a replica
P51 does anyone know of a 4 blade that will work on the ranger? (Had
a wood 3 blade but it was destroyed)
I've looked at the Sensinch wood one (2 blade) and it looks perfect,
would like to make sure I can't use a 4 blade first though.
ground adjustable, or CS would be great.
cheers
Mike

'Mike,
For your application, a wood three blade or four blade will be fine. If you
find a prop maker that will build a 4 blade, let me know, would like to have
one built for my 400hp Pitts SS360.
Most of the Ranger folks operate the following:
Sensenich two blade wood 86xx43/63 pitch
Falcon Propeller (Ole Falhn) two blade wood 86xx43/63 pitch (I have one on
order)
Aeromatic Constant speed (SB issue with Lag screws and wood rot)
Hartzell Hydro-Mechancial-Selective (hard to come by, I know of one for
sale)
Hartzell Constant speed (installed only on four Ranger powered Grumman
Widgons) Major installation, crank mod and gov mod.
NO METAL PROPS, BROKEN CRANK WILL OCCUR!!!
