How's Oshkosh!
'Any Member that happens to be at Oshkosh, and happens to check the
Yahoo group back here to see what's happening. I have a small
request! I've never been to the meet, but I understand they
have "Type Tents",or something of that sort. If anyone happens to
spy a nice set of the control stick Knobs (could be bak-e-lite) that
was a for the Fairchild, Please... send me a short little e-mail.
Thank you...Have fun!

'Tom and Don,
Not direct from Oshkosh, but the following Fairchild's were reported
at present at Air Venture 2004 by an Air-Britain member on the ab-ix
message board on Saturday (UK) morning:
N81323 R46-223 FAIRCHILD 24R-46
N81361 R46-261 FAIRCHILD 24R-46
N77698 R46-398 FAIRCHILD 24R-46
N77618 W46-318 FAIRCHILD 24W-46
N58749 FH842 T42-4191 FAIRCHILD M-62A-3 (all the way from
Schellville, CA)
N49071 "435310" T43-5310 FAIRCHILD M-62B
(not, of course, a Scarab-powered M-62B - I doubt there are any
left, actually a PT-19B, ex USAAF serial 42-82723).
The bracketed comments are mine.
Don reports four F.24R's which means our man has missed one, can
anyone fill in?
Hope this helps, Tony Broadhurst'

'Thank you Don,
I thought it could be yours he had missed. I will add it to the
list.
Did any of the Fairchild's get an adward this year. The PT-26 from
California looks good from the photos I have seen.

'With that low N812XX number your ship must be a build date of 3/46?
What is the build date on the dataplate?
