Fairchild cabin size

Post by David Stroud »

'Would someone on the list please give me a real accurate idea of the size of the
seating arrangement and baggage bay on a Fairchild 24? What I'm looking for is
the side by side distance in the front seat area, comments on elbow room ( if any )
if two 5' 1'' 190 lb fellows sat side by side up front. Would it be ok, roomy, tight,
uncomfortable on a long trip etc. Comments on the back seat..good for two kids
on a short hop etc. Rear leg room if flying with three? What are the approx dimensions
of the baggage bay aft of the rear seat? ASAP if you can. Thanks very much.

'I don't know the dimensions, but as the passenger and navigator on our F24.
The backseat is awesome. Great view and its very comfortable. We can put 2
good size adults and have comfortable room, Oh yes and 3 grandkids fit
perfect. The F24 on a long trip is like riding in a big Cadillac. Only
Better!

'Ooops..sorry guys. I meant to ask for comments on the
Fairchild 24's cabin size for two lads up front about 5'10",
190 lbs..not 5'1". Thanks.

me at 6'1' and 200 lbs. No problem on shoulder room
but his knees got in the way of full stick travel.
When he moved his left knee out of the way he collided
with my right. This occured only when checking full
aileron deflection during the pre-takeoff flt control
check. Otherwise, no significant problems.
