Mike Denest

Post by robert hensarling »

'Say, our list's own Mike Denest made the front page of WWW.Aero-News.net today with his comments about the terribly erroneous CBS news report on General Aviation:
To ANN/Jim,
Has anyone considered that CBS News intended to slant the truth for the sake of viewer ratings? I can't think of a better way to trick the viewers, especially GA pilots to watch yellow journalism at it's finest.

It makes me wonder who's agenda they are supporting (the airlines???). It certainly isn't the tax paying, law abiding American citizens who make their living in general aviation. It is an insult and a slap in the face.

Thanks for a great newsletter,

Mike Denest

'Egads!
Usually when I see someone's name at the top of an
e-mail it's usually because they've passed on!
Yikes!!!

Think about this. I did a Google search for CBS News
and found several sites with other issues where they
slanted the story. So, I believe that CBS uses this
tactic on purpose to pick a subject, twist the story,
get those close to the issue pissed off and write
letters. The ratings go up and then they can show the
stockholders and advertizers how well CBS News is
doing in the evening ratings. Pretty slick tactic eh?
The stockholders are happy, the advertizer is happy,
the money flows and the average uninformed viewer now
believes that the government is the answer to all
problems, little airplanes are dangerous and a
potential terror weapon. It seems to me that CBS
supports an agenda promoted by the airlines. Yet, CBS
uses corporate (Gulfstream IV, V) GENERAL AVIATION
aircraft to fly their high mucky-mucks around in.
That's Time-Warner for your internet N-number search.
They have a nice selection of the latest turbine
powered, corporate GENERAL AVIATION aircraft that
Gulfstream can supply.

So, don't support CBS/Time-Warner entertainment, CBS
News and any products advertized on CBS. CBS News can
take it's place with those who use terror as a weapon.
