'Hi return to service,

There seems to be something missing from your first exhaust segment where the
intensifier tube comes through it to the carb heat box.

On my old system, which I recently scrapped and replaced by a new stainless
steel one built by Radial Exhaust of Jumping Branch, West Virginia, the first
segment is closed with a very tight hole for the intensifier tube to come
through. It's a tight fit and would be made even tighter as the segments heat up
during engine operation. That's why the first segment has a different part
number than the other segments of the system. It's #641118-2, the other segments
are #641118-1.

You're right, it is not a good idea to direct hot exhaust gases right onto
the carburetor. I hope you can get someone to close the end of the first
segment, but still allow the intensifier tube to come through.
