'Can anyone help me with a problem. I have a Super-Scarab 145 engine
on a 24W40. The number 1 spark plug froze in the bushing and the
whole bushing has come out with the plug. Does anyone have new
bushings as I can not seperate the plug from the bushing. Thanks

Re: Spark Plug Bushing
'Break center out of plug then carefully slot plug body. When the threads show in the slot, stop, then use a solvent and heat to remove the plug from the adapter. Make a collate to hold the bushing to prevent damage. Some times a couple of slots help and then one can crush the plug body in. leaving the bushing in perfect shape.

Re: Spark Plug Bushing
'When you get it plug out and insert reinstalled. Make sure you always clean your plug threads and the insert threads. Use good quality anti seize and the proper Torque. Just had a customer use the elbow click method, they were torqued to 55 foot lbs. I always go 25 ft (low side) on all American engines and 20ft on the Franklins.

Re: Spark Plug Bushing
'Dear Mike,
If you are unable to use the bushing when you get the plug out of it, call
John Duncan, 719-481-4115. He may have some. If not, let me know. I have an
extra one I have been saving that I could let go.
Sincerely,
George Olson'

'Thank you George - I will try John first and then let you know if I am
successful in finding the bushing. I appreciate your response. Thanks
