'Tom,

If what you say is true, how come when I went to up my bid on Tuesday (one
day before closing), I was told the item was no longer a valid item and then
I got the e-mail about the seller withdrawing it from the auction. No Tricks?

How could you have upped your bid at that point if the item was no longer
listed?

After the link was given here, I went into E-Bay and looked. It was
there and I made a bid. ($1000.00 proxy) shortly after I got an E-
Mail that said it had not been presented correctly, and had a few
cracks that were not mentioned in the Ad. So, If I wanted to with
draw I could, I decided not to, and let it close at $860.00.
I do not feel that I have done any thing wrong. I did not contact
the seller before the sale ended, I did send him my shipping address
and a cashiers check after the sale closed, as I was directed to by E-
Bay.'

'Tom,

The e-mail I got said that the item had been withdrawn. It did not ask me if
I wanted to withdraw my bid. I had planned to up my bid and tried. I could
not understand why it was no longer listed until I got the e-mail saying the
seller had withdrawn it because he had misrepresented it.

It seems strange to me that you got a different e-mail and placed your bid
the day after the item was withdrawn.

But, if you say you didn't do anything wrong, you have to live with that.
