'Your welcome Tracy, stay tuned for future efforts. Also any club member that
has ordered the Fairchild CD ROM from the beginning effort and has not

'Dear Jamie,

As a Pilot flying for the Early Bird Foundationat Lelystad, founded by Jaap Mesdag in The Netherlands, I look today for the first time at your CD-Rom. If I want to see a drawing of the Pitot Static stystem, how can I find it?

Is there also a list of all the part numbers for our F-24-R-9, s/n 418?

Regards, Pieter de Bruijne

'Pieter,

You can locate any drawing either by Drawing number or by Airframe part. If you go to either PDF file for the F24 drawings, click on the menu bar "edit" and get the pull down, then go to "find" and type in the part you are looking for. It will curser to that part and then you have a choice to continue with the next search.

The drawing for the Heated Pitot system for 24R/W46 is 44211. Drawing is poor, but readable. Have no idea if that was the Pitot system installed on a R9 model. Maybe on the Deluxe model. Mine is 24R46, and is not heated, so it is totaly different than the drawing. Mine is a 1/4 tube with a flair. Located on the right wing, near the lift strut.

As for a parts list. I have the UC61 and UC61K parts listing coming in CD Rom format. I also like many have the Parts Manual in paper form. Some of the parts are interchangable. Question to the Club?? Does anyone have in there possession a Parts list and any other manuals for the R9 model.

Hope that helps.

Sincerely

Jamie'

'Thanks for your quick answer Jamie.

We will see to it if it works out. Do you have a checklist for me (outside walk around and for inside)? Me be your personal one?
Or is their someone else who has one for the F24R9?

Thanks for helping me out.

Greetings Pieter de Bruijne

'Pieter,

Don't have a Walk Around Checklist. Do have a Flight CheckList. You can also
use the one that was prepared for the Mil. Go to the Flight Manual section of
the CD. You can print out page and insert in aircraft.

Yes. All the manuals that are likely to turn up here have long been
re-printed and are available for purchase by the universe from
Thompson's aviation library as listed in every issue ofTrade-A-Plane
for the past 40 years. Their collection is quite extensive and was
handsomely complimented with the purchase of Air Caravan's collection
after that fine gentleman's retirement(he is missed 'tho I can't
recall his name, John B., do you know?). Most all these publications
were listed in the Flyer a couple years back and what was there can
be gotten from Thompson's. Also Essco has nearly all these
publications available and again can be found in every issue of TAP.
Seems odd that many requests at this site can be found in an old
fashioned PAPER publication. It appears that many have forgotten
about this resource and it actually costs less that many net providers
and the info in a 2 month old issue with coffee stains, found
derilect and free for the taking is still quite good. Progress???
Oh well, that's the way it is.'

'Essco does have the instructin manual for he R39. The parts catalog forthe
UC-61 should be pretty close. Also the structural repair manual. I knowwho
you are refering to Jamie I do not remember his name. I bought alot of
books
from Air Service Caravan.
