Ignation Harness for the Warner 165

Post by Tom Downey »

'I have recieved my harness form Radial Engine inc, and it is a work
of art, they really do nice work. But,,, It won't fit.
I have been looking at pictures of Chappies F-24 that he has on his
web page, and have noticed a difference between his and the one I
have, His has the mag leads coming from the mags to the rigid loom on
each side of the #1 cylinder, and passing thru the dish pan and
hooking up to the top of the mags. Mine has the Mag leads at the 3
O'Clock and 9 O'clock, passing thru between the 2 & 3 and the 6&7
cylinders and this places them at the side of the mags, and will not
make the connection.
I really would like to use a rigid loom because they look much
better, Does any one have any idea where I may obtain one that will
fit the Warner 165? All I really need is the rigid portion that sets
on the front of the engine.

'HI Tom,

The ignition harness on my Warner says "Jacobs" on it! I'll look for the paperwork on who did the wiring of the unit -- I have it at the hangar.

That is a big clue, Maybe I can find one if I know what I am looking
for. All I need is the Rigid tubing in front of the engine the
beautiful harness that I got from Radial Engines has the rest of what
I need.'
