Tow Bars

Post by jstreat360@aol.com »

'Steve,

As for tow bars: My F-24 has the inside axle fittings with the welded hook fittings. Very similar to the Stinson setup. In fact my tow bar fits both. The Tow Fittings are held in place with the Axle Retention Bolt. Right now, I'm not useing the inside cover, but it was cut with the center hole. No mod to the Wheel pant at all. I used PA-20/22 lift struts that are rusted/AD Note, and manufactured a Triangle plate to bring the ends together to attach to the tractor/Tow tug. Simple and light. The one Bob has is the attached to the Tail Wheel. Go to Bobs web site and see a picture of it. I also asked Bob to send me a copy of the drawing and I will scan in and post.'
