'Hey guys. We all missed a great deal. The F24W on AIG salvage only went for $8600.
Oh well!

'Hello, does anyone know where I can get the "C" springs for the glove
compartment door? Also does anyone have a copy of a weight and balance sheet
for an F24R46? I have found the note that tells one that the datum is the
leading edge of the wing and the type certificate data sheets list the c.g.
range for each model, but thats all the info they are going to give you, I guess
pilots back then didn't care about weight and balance. This is my first
aircraft restoration, much more difficult than restoring an old car, can't go
down to the NAPA store and get parts, though I finally figured out that all the
interior handles, knobs, and other bits are from a 1937 FORD and repros are
readily available from several sources. I just ordered a "C" spring for a Ford
and it is not the correct one, that bit of information cost me $20. thanks,
Barry

'Call Clayton Fuerhrer at 1-509-972-3378, he had a project he was working on that had a new set of wings he had built, he has been trying to sell the whole thing in pieces. this is the best number I had on him but it is old.

Re: F24
'Some of the brake stuff can be obtained at NAPA. I bought the soft copper
gaskets, that are used at the input to the expander tubes, bleeder valves,
overhaul kits for the master cylinders and fittings for the ends of the brake
lines at NAPA. The flex lines can be made by any good fabricator, they use
common brake ends.
You can do a search on these Web pages, and you can find the part numbers at
NAPA that I posted.
The guy that I used for the flex lines, was www.budsbrakes.com. I think the
address is correct. Any, just about any one can make them.
