'What oils are you folks using in the Warner 165s? NC19143 had Aero
shell 100 in it when I got it. I have a barrel of aero shell 15W50
multi weight, high detergent, should I use it in my Warner 165?'

Do not use it. Is it not of the correct molecular structure and will actually wear the engine. I use ONLY Phillips 25x60. It is made for radials and Rangers with loose tolerances. You will add many hours of life to it if you use it. Phillips engineers do not recommend their 15x50 either! Yes I talked directly to the engineers that developed it for the radials specifically.

We use it in all the radials and the Ranger all year. You can prop a 220 Cont. at 26 degrees F without preheating! I have done it....

They have it for 74 bucks for 10 gals. = $1.85 per qt.
