'One of the CAF units reportedly had a fatal accident in a PT recently.
Has any one heard what happened. I am wondering if there was a
structural failure that we all should know about.

'Regarding your question. I looked in on the NTSB Web site, and they had no
mention of anything happening to Fairchild's since July and August of last
year. Two incidents with M-62's, and a F24. The FAA Web site, under
"Newsroom", that has the current incident information, appears to be off
line.
www.faa.gov , goto Newsroom, click on "Service/accident/Incident data". I
would tell you more, but I couldn't get in. Seems like that was temporarily
off line. The other is www.ntsb.gov , click on "Aviation", click on Monthly
list, than click on the month you wish to look at. Scroll down to see what
if there, and click on the thing on the left side of the page, and it will
tell you what the preliminary report is, if it is filed.
I didn't see anything under NTSB on recent incidents or accidents. On the
NTSB Web page, you can also use the Query Page, and search for specifics.
Like at a certain location, specific makes or type aircraft, over specific
time frame.

'There was a fatality just a few days ago. AVweb had the names involved. It has not been long enough for it to show up yet. The passenger was in the hospital the last thing we heard.
