'Chief My airplane is located at Coal City, Illiinois, in my 2 car
garage. The engine mount was made in California. My favorite airport is
IKK, Kankakee, Illinois which is about 50 miles south of Chicago.

'Hi David, I bought a rebuild project, 3 yrs ago, that has a 225 hp Jake on
it. The mount was made by someone in California. (I am not near the plane).
I have not noticed any changes or additions to the firewall or tubing. I
will take a serious look the next time that I get near the project ...

'Harry My 24 does have flaps but no wheel pants. It has been owned by
a lot of people, so the pants may have been removed, long ago. The serial #
is 3309.

Removal of gland 43240 from top of landing gear cylinder on F-24

'I am unable to remove the aforementioned gland. It is aluminum and has two
holes, into which a spanner wrench can be inserted. I have put a lot of
WD40 on it but it will not budge. I added a little heat, from a torch, to
the threaded collar but the heat transferred to the aluminum so fast ...
