'I'm trying to find the short "I" tang that goes between the engine tach drive and a dual drive unit. Little short gizmo with an "I" tang at both ends. Ain't had much luck. Anyone here can help?'

'Hmmm.....maybe I'm complicating this too much. I'm trying to Drive a second tach in the front cockpit of my Great Lakes. My Ranger appears to have a dual tach drive. Does anyone have that type of setup? It looks like all I have to do is pull the cap off the unused tach drive adapter and install the cable to the second tach. Can it really be that simple?

Any advice?

'My Ranger has duel tach drives on the accessory housing, with a tach cable from each to the 2 tachometers. Sounds like it really is that simple.

'Yes Mike, I think it is that simple. My w-670 has the same arrangement.

'Mike,

For the Ranger powered PT-19, one cable is routed to each cockpit.  For the 24, only one is needed, the other is capped off.  The "gizmo" you are looking for is part of the cable assembly.  Have one fabricated to match the existing one you have installed and route it to the second tach.
