Bearings for PT-19/23/26

Posted: Wed May 21, 2008 11:07 am
by pt19flyer@aol.com
'Some one out there must have resolved this issue in the past, so before searching the web, allow me to ask.

There is a Fafner Bearing that is used on the rudder (I think it is also used on the ailerons)
The part number appears to be KF4A
The dimensions are? .75" OD, .25" ID, .50" Width
It is a felt sealed ball bearing.

I need about 8.

Any source or replacement options.? If replacement options, do we have the appropriate paperwork?

Thanks,
Richard Smith
Austin, Texas

'It would appear, from the link below, that the obsolete part number KF4A would be replaced with a KP4A. The difference being the seal type.

'Curt,
We found some that are the same size OD and ID, but .25 width.?
We could use them if we had a spacer of come sort plus the paperwork to go along with it.
Any ideas?
