'Thanks to people who responded to my request for info on curing radio
interferance. I took the generator out of the circuit and still had the
noise. I found that with the engine running at low rpm that I could almost
hear each plug firing and the noise increased rapidly when I increased the
rpm. This led me to decide that the noise was caused by the magnetos. I
removed the suppressors or condenser, whichever they are called but I forgot
to try and see if the noise changed with them being removed.
I am now searching for new suppressors but I can't find any part
number on these old ones so I don't how to attach the problem of getting new
ones.
I also have another question: how do people pull an F-24 out of a
hangar with a dirt floor? I use a 12 volt boat winch to pull it back into
the hangar.'

'If you have the landing gear with the tow rings you can drive a dead man out in front of the aircraft the length of the airplane . Then put a pulley with a hook on it attached to the dead man and the cable hooked to your tow bar that is attached to the tow rings. If you don't have the tow rings them just use a tow strap around each gear leg.With the cable going under the aircraft and attached to the dead man and back to the main gear you can pull the the plane out of a dirt floor hanger very easy.

'Norbert,

You might consider putting a pair of ten foot, two by twelves under the main
gear. You could set them into the dirt floor, such that they slope a little
towards the door, that way you would be winching the airplane uphill, and it
would more easily roll out, downhill.

Just a thought.

'My first hangar for my Bellanca had a wooden trough for the tail wheel so it didn't sink into the sandy ground. Nothing more than a 2x6 with 2x2 nailed on each edge as a guide. I made an electric winch to pull it in and then with a dead man with pulley out front, used the winch to pull the tail wheel back down the trough. Worked well. If you are nervous, use a tail wheel steering stick to guide it.
