'I am relieved to hear that Art Ball has nothing to do with the folks
who did the restoration of my aircraft. The engine was build by Art in
1986 and is signed off by him as -0- since major overhaul by Antique
Aero Engines The engine serial number is 3726A its a Warner 165.
installed on NC19143 in 1991.

Unfortunaty the Airframe log only shows the return to service in 1991
by Santa Paula Aero and a signature I can't read. the aft fuselage had
a emblem painted into the finish that stated " Restorations by Santa
Paula Aero"

Tell Al that I am Sorry that I assiocated him with these yahoos.

after checking with Al Ball and Antique Aero Engines; they specialize
in Kenner and Menasco Engines and will only occasionally do a Warner
or a Ranger engine. He does not and never has done airframe
restorations. Al has been at Santa Paula Airport for over thirty
years and says he has never heard of "Santa Paula Aero". We both would
be interested if you have an address for this Santa Paula Aero. They
sound pretty shady and may be operating off field.'
