yahoo shutting down groups

I see we will continue to be able to post messages to the list after the cutoff date, but won't be able to post content to the website.

You guys probably already know this but somehow I missed it.

For dummies like me, I found the following at Yahoo:
Will I be able to use Yahoo Groups going forward?
You'll still be able to communicate with your groups via email and search for private groups on the site. In addition, admins will continue to have limited access to group settings and administration tools. '

'The original purpose of the groups was to foster a gathering place for discussion and building of a knowlege base. At the end of this year this will no longer be true. All that will remain is a chat board with extremely limited access. A move like this by a corporation like Yahoo can only mean a shift to a better revenue bearing alternative is scheduled for a debut in the near future.
