Front Seal Oil Leak

Hi All,
I have a small but increasing throw of oil out the front seal, and perhaps from the thrust bearing cover. It's a PITA because the oil gets thrown onto the front ignition harness as sell as everywhere else, and can short out the spark.
Has anyone had this happen? Is the "oil-slinger" (which I presume is a spiral groove that continuously moves oil aft) likely to be clogged? Any info before my mechanic and I tackle it?

'Dave,
If the main bearings and ball bearing are good, this will work.. I've
done this on a couple of engines where customer wanted a positive seal..
Remove the plate, add material, machine bore of plate to hold an oil
seal..Remove oil slinger, remove angle and replace.. Probably surface
on nut where seal will run will need to be polished..

I don't want to ask anything awkward, but was there a STC for that? My F-24W is in standard-category.
