NOS PT fuel valve and EZ-Turn

'I bought the Ebay NOS fuel valve for my PT. It's been recommended to
use EZ-Turn fuel resistant lubricant on the cone. Seems a good idea.
I disassembled the new fuel valve and see the cork cone is lubricated
with dry graphite. My question: Remove the graphite first then use
EZ-Turn? or to just call it good with the graphite? It seems the
graphite would need to be removed before applying EZ-Turn? I would hate
to mess up a NOS valve by doing the wrong thing.
The old leaky valve had no visible graphite on the cone. Maybe it washed
off?
What have you guys that used EZ-Turn do? What was the result?
I'd really like to do this right the first time... It's in such an damn
awkward place!
-Thanks for any advice.
