F24 (UC61K) Aileron balance

'Folks
I have just re-covered and finished the ailerons using the Poly Fiber process. the net result is the ailerons are considerably lighter than before having removed Grade A and several coats of dope.
The now is that the balance weights need lead removing - 4.1oz on one side and 4.6oz on the other - about 2oz per boom. I have drilled out as much as I dare but am still too heavy up front.
Other than shortening the booms or somehow adding weights to the trailing edges I have run out of ideas. has anyone come across this dilemma and come up with any other fix?
Thanks for any info
