Single stack exhaust for ranger

Does anybody run single stacks (6 separate exhaust stacks) on Fairchild 24 200HP?

I am thinking of making 6 stacks and getting rid of the 2 stack system. My forward stack is almost beyond repair.

Anybody with experience either on the PT-19 or F24?

Thanks.'

'Dc817f,

Please see attached pics of the 6 stack and the one stack. I don’t know anybody making the single stack system.

As for the 6 stack, there is a science behind the length of the pipes from front to back. I believe there was a article in one of the FC Flyers years ago.

The sound is very different, more of a popping/cracking sound. Not as throaty. To me it does not sound like a Ranger should sound.

Word has it, Wag-Aero has stopped making the mild steel stacks. Burnt away quickly. Jumping Branch is no longer around. Radial Engines (Steve Curry) had all the tooling if memory serves me. You can call Steve or Caleb.

Also, Per Mike Kelly, Try: AWI/AMI Aerospace Welding Minneapolis, Inc. , Aerospace Manufacturing,Inc. Eagan, MN 1-800-597-4315. www.awi-ami.com wwwaerospacemanufacturing.com . e-mail: Steve Hunter at shunter@awi-ami.com

Hope this helps.

'I have a single stack system that has been on the shelf for years, I'm thinking of running it.
Last year I tried to get info on it, I'm guessing its a PT exhaust.
Thanks for your reply.'
