'After hearing the tails regarding the removal of the outer shells of the cushioning motor mounts for the Warner, I am happy to say that I successfully removed all 4 of the outer shells within a single afternoon, and didn't damage a thing.  And I didn't even need a hammer.I made a cylindrical plug that was about 1.24?" in diameter by 1.5" long, with a 1/2" hole through the center.   The 1.24?" diameter is slightly less than the inside diameter of the seat for the cushioning mount.   Then I made a closed off cylinder whose  inside diameter was slightly larger than the inside diameter of the seat.  I put the plug against the side of the outer shell that I wanted to push on, and the cylinder against the opposite side of the mount.  I put a 1/2" bolt through both pieces, with several heavy washer against the cylinder, put a nut on it and snugged it down tight.   I used 2 hinge handles to get some good torque.   None of the 4 moved at that time even the slightest bit.  I then took out a 1500W hot air gun (cheap) for less than 3-5 minutes to warm each mount, then they started to move.  The mounts never got so hot that the heat damaged the paint.Some time this next week, I will sit down at the computer and make a drawing.I can see that it will require heat on the seat and cold on the mount in order to get everything back together.  I remember seeing 1.250" on the outer diameter of the shell, but the seat was 1.24?" on the inside. .002" to .004" difference will really lock the mounts into place when it normalizes. Bob'
