'Hi Jim
I wish I had a picture or a drawing of the missing part. I do have a picture of the assembled tailwheel strut, installed on Hugh Lowenhardt's F24 C8C. The strut is nearly identical to his and is a non-stearable tailwheel assembly. The part I need is that portion inside the coil spring and includes the upper strut attach portion. I believe it to be a weld assembly with a small piston attached . The strut and piston slide up and down in the cylinder attached to the tailwheel fork. It is similar to the main gear strut but smaller with a 1.125" dia. shaft. The 1937 F24G and H models were the only models to get this tailwheel strut . Thanks for looking Jim.

My 37 F24 H model project is missing the upper portion of the tailwheel oleo assembly. I believe the part number is 43149 and it is called the Piston assy. It is a weld assembly of the upper attach fitting, oleo tube, and piston. The piston p/n 4396 is the same as that used on the model C8E. I haven't been able to locate drawings for this assembly or the piston, so I'm looking for an original part to purchase, or borrow to have copied. If you have one of these tailwheels please contact me. For the loan of this assembly to copy, I will have a new one made for you while I'm at it.Thank you.Rich
