'The packing's that I made were:Outside diameter - 11mm / .45"Inside diameter - 5.8mm / .23"Wall thickness - 2.6mm / .10"Length - 6.6mm / .26"The lengths, I had to guess on that. They had been compressed for many years, and didn't rebound to their original length.It looks like an un-reinforced rubber line that would be used as a vacuum line. I slid the rubber onto a screw driver shank, or something that was 1/4" in diameter, with the help of some light oil. Put that into a lathe and started cutting off 1/4" lengths. Nice and square ends. The Master Cylinder Kit I used was NAPA/United Brake Parts #47730 08109 0. As I remember, there was a couple small pieces in the kits that I didn't use. The dust boot, the main cup, and the washer the fits onto the plunger were perfect.2 different soft copper washers from NAPA outer 19mm/inner 13mm, & 20.5mm/15.3mm. Bob

I am looking to use DOT5 fluid and Viton or Nitrile packing/O-rings - please say so if this is not such a good idea.
What combination of fluid and packing are y'all using out there and where could I get the packing or will it have to be a DIY job?
