Ranger mounting pads

'I was fitting my engine to the mount for my UC61K and have noticed that the pads are slightly different. I have 2 where the centre is flush with the top of the rubber and 2 where the centre is below the rubber by 0.1".(see photos in 'Frank Cox' album)

Can anyone say if this is acceptable and whether they should be matched as pairs at the front and rear positions?

If this is not acceptable where would folk recommend to get them renewed?

Many thanks

'Frank,

You have two maybe good and two that have failed. No repair to date. The
good ones will fail shortly due to age. Fresno Airparts has new/old stock.
The last two sets failed within hours. So I went a different route. I
contracted with Larry Trumpore to manuf new ones using the old inside and
outside backshells. Working great. Larry has the Lord drawings and developed
the rubber density. He also did some Warner stuff for me. Melvyn Hiscock
found a company in England to develop. See info below.

Here are two companies that may be able to help.

**Ranger and Warner 145/165/185 Engine Bushings: Southland Manufacturing
Corp. Owner: Larry Trumpore P.O. Box 350 Hope, NJ. 07844 Phone 908-459-5858

'Hi All
After some long debates and banging our heads together and against some walls, I am pleased to announce the opening of Midwest Aeronautique (scheduled for April 2013). This will be a 2 man restoration/recovery and parts support company located in Bollingbrook IL. at Clow Int'l Airport (1C5)Hanger #2.

We are currently acquiring Fairchild 24, PT-19/23/26 and some other antique aircraft parts.  One of our Goals is to have, complete through silver, control and flight surfaces available on exchange or purchase for Fairchilds and other aircraft along with hard to find and rebuilt wooden structures.

SO dig into your garage, attic, hanger junk piles ect... and let me know what you have. Maybe we can make a deal or repair your part.

Thanks!
Keep 'Em Flying
