'I know that you probably don't want to hear it, but the Fairchild wheel pants aren't the most aerodynamic.  I had an occasion to fly my "24" with all of the OE wheel cover parts.  It wasn't great.  I had some wheel problems one day, and flew it with one on and the other in the back of the airplane.   It was almost 5 mph indicated faster.

The fastest 24 that I have heard of was Tom Burmeister's, before he bought it, and it had a pair of OE Waco wheel fairings.  The owner traded the Waco set for a pair of OE Fairchild set.  He surely wished that he hadn't done that.  She slowed down a whole bunch. (greater than 5 mph)  You could probably take that with a grain of salt, but from what I have seen, I could believe it.

'Clarence,

The stems are too long for the F-24. We have been removing the new stems and installing shorter ones by vulcanizing.

'Hi Jamie
Can you please provide me a CD for the PT-19 Parts Catalong and Manuals?  Last weekend I was lucky and obtained a pick up truck full of Ranger and PT-19 parts. Since I don't have a PT (yet) I would like to see the parts go to someone in need. In order for me to do that, I need to know what I have, hense the need for the manuals.

Thanks!

'Clarence,
Desser used to send out a tube that had a stem that could be rotated. The stem was held to the tube by a nut that could be loosened. You could rotate the stem 180 degrees, and it would be good for our tailwheel.
