'Can anyone inform me of why some splined Warner Prop hubs are 6 bolt and others are 8 bolt.  Is one an upgrade to the other or what?

'I had read some time back that the 8 bolt hubs were used on the military type trainers that would be doing acrobatics. That hub is stronger compared to the 6 bolt. Something to do with the forces on the hub.
