'I am looking at the TCDS for the 24R-46 and see that it only shows the 6-440-C2 175 HP. I searched for STCs that allow the -C5 200HP engine with no luck. My next guess is either a Field Approval for the 200HP engine or the -C2 simply has different cylinders/pistons to make it 200HP. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

'No field approval, just a 337, its approved by the TCDS. If you look under the 46A it tells you which serial numbers are eligible to be a 46A. I did one last year and had this conversation with my FSDO

'Ok, I see where you are talking about now. Thank you very much for the information. Are parts fairly easy to find for the Ranger? Are there any ADs/Service Bulletins that will bite you when it comes overhaul time?

 Thanks again,
 Chuck

I am looking at the TCDS for the 24R-46 and see that it only shows the
6-440-C2 175 HP. I searched for STCs that allow the -C5 200HP engine with no
luck. My next guess is either a Field Approval for the 200HP engine or the
-C2 simply has different cylinders/pistons to make it 200HP. Can anyone
point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
